At the same time, my professional life has been centered around mental health. I am a mental health counselor, and supporting people through some of the most difficult and meaningful moments of their lives is work that matters deeply to me. Because of that, it felt natural for Ozark Glow to grow into something that also reflects wellness, reflection, and intentional living.

In addition to candles, I’ve started sharing more writing and resources focused on mental health and well being. I also create engraved wood pieces, which has become a new and meaningful creative outlet for me. Whether it is a candle, a small keepsake, or a piece meant to mark an important moment, I love creating things that carry a sense of warmth and meaning.

I’m incredibly grateful for the support of my husband and for the joy of being a boy mom to the very best little ones. Our days are full of simple things that mean the most to me. Slow mornings, fresh air, time outside, and the soft glow of a candle that makes a house feel like home.

Hi, I’m Cynthia, the hands and heart behind Ozark Glow Candle Co.

My candle making journey began in 2015 while I was attending College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri. I had the opportunity to work in the campus candle and stained glass shop, which helped fund my education. What started as a work assignment quickly turned into something I genuinely loved. There was something special about the quiet process of creating something beautiful with your hands.

For years after that, I kept experimenting with fragrances and candle making on my own, always holding onto the idea that one day I might turn it into something more. In 2024, Ozark Glow Candle Co. finally came to life, inspired by my love for the Ozarks, nature, and the simple comfort that candlelight brings to a space.

While life has since brought our family to Tennessee, the Ozarks will always feel like home to me. The peacefulness of the outdoors, slower rhythms of life, and the warmth of small moments continue to shape the heart of this brand.
